ABOUT US

We are a small independent organisation which provides emotional and practical support to the men held at Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) in Swinderby, Lincolnshire.

We are not part of the government or the detention centre management.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Face-to-face emotional support and friendship to anyone held at Morton Hall IRC.

  • Practical help and support such as clothing, phone credit etc.

  • One-to-one support over the phone.

  • Referrals and signposting to other services.

WHO WE SUPPORT

  • Anyone held at Morton Hall IRC.

  • Those people who are the most isolated.

HOW WE WORK

  • Our volunteers visit detainees on a regular basis.

  • All agree to undertake a minimum 6-month commitment.

  • While we cannot give legal advice, we can help people get in touch with their legal representative or other helpful organisation.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We are always looking for new volunteers to support our work. To volunteer with us, please register your interest by emailing:

Most of our volunteers are visitors to people in detention but other vital tasks include:
